Opened in 1989 in a converted Georgian Bank and situated high on the bank side above North Shields atmospheric fish quay, the Magnesia Bank has a world-wide reputation for real ales, good food and tremendous entertainment.
The team have a wealth of experience in the licensed trade and the world of food and entertainment and aim to help to provide the atmosphere that can only be found in a real English pub.
Live music is free every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9.00 p.m. until midnight, and every Sunday afternoon from 4.00 pm. For the budding musician there is the Buskers evening every Monday.

Tickets for the Magnesia Bank New Year's Eve Party are available from 1st June 2010 at a mere £15 each. For this you will receive a light supper, be entertained live in the bar by The Happy Cats and of course there will be a late bar.
Purchase your tickets from the bar, or on online at The Happy Cats website but with a very limited availability, get them while they're hot!
Our Bar Menu is available Monday to Wednesday from 12 noon until 7.30pm and Thursday to Saturday from 12 noon until 9.00pm. Sunday lunch is available every Sunday from 12 noon until 4.00 pm. Delicious hot food, sandwiches and paninis plus a special menu for children. Orders for food are taken at the Bar
