Welcome to the North-Easts Award Winning Venue.

Opened in 1989 in a converted Georgian Bank and situated high on the bank side above North Shields atmospheric fish quay, the Magnesia Bank has a world-wide reputation for real ales, good food and tremendous entertainment.

The team have a wealth of experience in the licensed trade and the world of food and entertainment and aim to help to provide the atmosphere that can only be found in a real English pub.

Live music is free every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9.00 p.m. until midnight, and every Sunday afternoon from 4.00 pm.  For the budding musician there is the Buskers evening every Monday.

    The Maggie is now testing out a muisc quiz on Thursday nights.  If it is popular enough we will make a regular weekly event.

    Over Easter we will have have live music right across the weekend, Friday 2nd - Monday 5th April.

    The Easter Weekender marks the first of a series of special Bank Holiday weekenders at The Magnesia Bank.
