Welcome to the North-Easts Award Winning Venue.

Opened in 1989 in a converted Georgian Bank and situated high on the bank side above North Shields atmospheric fish quay, the Magnesia Bank has a world-wide reputation for real ales, good food and tremendous entertainment.

The team have a wealth of experience in the licensed trade and aim to help to provide the atmosphere that can only be found in a real English pub.

The Magnesia Bank prides itself on providing an extensive menu to suit a range of pockets! Choose from the traditional bar menu featuring the ever popular crispy chicken and filling ciabattas. Alternatively treat yourself to a trip to Maggie’s Restaurant and sample dishes from the table menu or the Live Specials Boards. Don’t forget to leave room for one of our decadent desserts. Personally I recommend the Bailey’s cheesecake – it’s to die (and to diet) for!
