RAW SPIRIT

They say they are a Good Time Chicago Blues and R n' B seven-piece outfit including a brass section, known to play the occasional swing number. Actually Raw Spirit are a top rate band covering styles from soul to blues rock and a bit of popular dance music in between. A crowd pleaser every time. Raw Spirit originally formed back in 1968, touring extensively all over the country including support slots with bands Pink Floyd and Free to name but a few. Eventually as happens, the band ran out of steam and split with everyone going their separate way.

About 5 years ago drummer Bob and 2 others from the original band, Barry (guitar) and Keith (bass), met up and discussed getting the band back together…hence the re-birth of RAW SPIRIT.

Ever since, Raw Spirit have become one of the hardest working bands in the North East building a strong and loyal following with their up tempo brand of “good time RnB” belting out some classic blues including songs from BB King, Albert King, Coco Montoya, Eric Clapton, Luther Allison, Delbert Mclinton, Freddy King and many more.

Following a short hiatus, when the band were off the road, and some changes to the line up, Raw Spirit are back, stronger than ever and belting out their brand of blues and soul that is guaranteed to get feet tapping and bodies grooving.
