PETE GILGAN BAND

Pete 'Rooster' Gilgan is simply one of the best blues guitarists and songwriters you can find.

Pete has an original insight into the world, mainly due to his previous vocation as a man of the cloth. Yes Pete was a real preacher man. Luckily for us music made its call and he answered. Pete first made his name in the North East with his previous band The Little Criminals, and with his duet performances with Doctor Brown.

With blues from Robert Cray to Robert Johnson and further influences from the likes of Peter Green and the Rolling Stones, Pete Gilgan has gained a wealth of experience and is rated as one of the finest blues men going. His self penned numbers would easily sit alongside any classic blues tune.

Pete created his current band due to demand of audiences for his return to live music after an absence of a couple of years from the scene. Now playing with seminal bassman Mick Hutchinson and the multi-skilled drummer Gary Cain, Pete Gilgan's Blues Band has made its own mark on the scene. Keyboards and additional vocals are provided by former Eastside Torpedo front man Neil Hunter, Neil also fronts the blues/soul band Cloud Nine.
